Developing Psychic Ability

People on their deathbeds will sometimes tell their loved ones that they see a loved one who has previously died standing close by. Generally that departed loved one comes to greet the person and take him or her to the other side.

This makes an easier transition for the person who is dying, but the person who is living is left to wonder if the relative was actually seeing the dead loved one or was only hallucinating. The other alternative in the loved one's mind is that ghosts only come when someone is going to die, which is far from true.

Death is like birth: We are only stepping from one dimension to the next. If someone who loves a person can make it easier for him or her to go to the other side, then we who are living should be grateful that they do.

Having heard the stories of a dead person coming for a live one is probably one of the reasons some people tend to be frightened of ghosts. Not every spirit one sees is coming to help a person get to the other side. If that were the case, I would be in big trouble.

Some are here to further your spiritual education. Others come to help prevent some bodily disaster from befalling people.

A case in point is my Aunt Rosie. She had a best friend, Gayle. Being closer than most sisters, they did everything together. There were no secrets between the two of them.

Gayle developed that terrible disease called cancer. She died after a valiant struggle. My aunt helped her every step of the way and was heartbroken when she finally died.

Years later, after I had come out of the psychic closet and was talking with my aunt, my ghostly guides told me that my aunt had seen two ghosts. The first was her brother, and the other was Gayle.

Telling her what I had heard, I added that she was frightened of Gayle for no reason. Gayle told me and I conveyed to my aunt that my aunt had hurt Gayle's feelings but that she truly understood my aunt's reason.
