In one of their lifetimes, they find they no longer need to be all-powerful control freaks themselves. Thus they learn to become more spiritual and open to receiving God's answers.
This is where the church's notion of good and evil spirits comes into play. The consequences of what we do affect everyone and everything. Our actions have no limitations. Newton's law is at work: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."
Take a pebble and throw it into a pond. The rings of water it causes start small but get larger the farther from the pebble they are until the whole pond has been touched by it. As with that pebble, our actions create larger reactions as they move away from us and affect many more souls than we sometimes anticipate.
Remember that birds of a feather flock together. Do not be afraid that a killer will become your guide. Only another killer can attract that sort of guide.
Many ghostly spirits have come to my metaphysical classes. Are they learning from me, or am I learning from them? Not only is it comforting to have them in my classes, but my students get the benefit of seeing them there as well.
Part of the education value is watching my class see these entities for the first time. They have the opportunity to learn that all they have to do is open their spiritual eyes.
One particular class was given in a huge room without windows. Throughout the whole class, I had watched some blue-white light forms do calisthenics in the back of the room.
At the end of the class, I asked all of my students to turn towards the back of the room. A student went back and turned off the lights, as I requested.
When the lights went off, gasps, oohs and ahs started. Without my calling any attention to the spirits, there was no doubt my class saw them. People began talking as quickly as the lights went out about how certain entities were doing different things, such as rising in the air and turning somersaults. It was amazing to them that they could see the ghostly forms.
