a long breath through your nose to a slow count of three to five, whichever is more comfortable. Air should fill the lungs starting at the lowest point and working upwards. Make sure that your diaphragm or midriff is ballooned sufficiently with the breath. Breathing in this way will send more oxygen to the brain and help you feel rejuvenated. Hold that breath in the diaphragm for the same count of three to five. Now let it out through barely parted lips at the same slow count of three to five.

Concentrate only on your breathing. Make sure to continue to breathe. Enjoy the feeling, which should be a nice restful sensation crawling throughout your body. Just at the edge of sleep, you are nevertheless aware of everything occurring. Feel every part of your body while lavishing in this breathing technique. Continue without worry about time or sleep. If you fall off to sleep, have no fear. You will awaken shortly after a very restful nap.

Practicing this method of breathing is important in learning to use your psychic gifts. Because of meditations used in one's psychic quests, one needs to relish all aspects of the relaxation technique.

Once comfortable with the breathing exercise, you can start another relaxation procedure that will carry you into a deep meditation. Deep meditation accomplishes many goals in the psychic world.

Some people feel more comfortable with structured taped instructions for meditation. If you are one of those people, make a tape giving instructions in a pleasant speaking voice with some of your favorite music in the background. Since your brain registers more quickly when hearing your own voice, this will help more. If there is no need for the tape, use the following instructions.

Remember to stay focused on your breathing and relax. Do not worry about trying to quiet your mind. Some meditation teachers advise students to clear their mind. If those students are like me, there is no way to accomplish this act. In my experience, the best way to meditate is allowing all images and activity in the mind without restrictions.
