Meditation
Meditation is a tool that is utilized to bring about psychic awareness more quickly. Using both hemispheres of the brain, it expands our minds and allows us to be more logical and creative simultaneously.
This powerful mind exercise can help reduce stress while helping us feel better physically. Its' breathing techniques supply large amounts of oxygen to the brain and can make you feel as if you have had a nap. A rested person is less likely to become ill. Meditation also rejuvenates the blood and lowers blood pressure.
Meditation use to control pain is called Biofeedback. Biofeedback is the use of meditation with technology to help people self-regulate physical functions. Because there is a connection between mind and body, Biofeedback has proven to help many emotional dysfunction, disorders, and diseases.
Stress can produce many symptoms such as: increased heart rate, blood pressure, hyperventilation, excessive sweating, cold extremities, anxiety, headaches, and other symptoms. Some techniques used in Biofeedback are skin temperature training and muscle relaxation training.
