innermost fears, while in his present life, have been that perhaps no one will attend his funeral.
Past lives have to ring a bell in some manner with the life you are living now. Strong likes and dislikes, whether they are in body or mind, will surface again. Memories of places and tastes for foods, clothing and housing will sometimes awaken those lives and bring them to the fore.
Dislikes seem to come out more quickly though. One such dislike was brought to my attention when a woman told me that she had always made friends easily except for one time in this life. It had so upset her that she wondered about past lives because of the incident.
A friend asked her to attend her church, which she did. The pastor gave her dirty looks throughout his sermon but she tried to ignore him because her friend loved this church so much. After the service was over, her friend naturally wanted her to meet the minister. When her friend called the minister over to meet the lady, he said in a not too friendly voice that they had met, then turned and walked away.
The lady told me that she had never met the man before in this lifetime but that she had the same feeling about him that he had about her, only he verbalized it so she didn't have too. Her question to me was if it was possible that this had to do with a past life. My answer was that it most certainly was.
We don't necessarily have to spend time in our current lives with all the spirits we have had past lives with. Personalities may not mesh even between lives. It is just like picking friends while on earth: Some are more drawn together than others. Between lives you tend to be drawn to those same friends and may at times allow other fellow spirits to become part of your spirit family in order to gain more experiences.
If a person, while on earth, stays at home always, then the only experience they are drawing while on earth is what being a recluse is like. As he allows more people to interact with him, then those others who are being received by the recluse are perpetuating more experiences with the loner. Now the hermit is no longer a loner, simply because he allowed others to become part of his life. In the same way, our spirits permit others to interact with us between physical lives.
As more people are introduced into the hermit's life, they bring added experience just as inviting other souls into your circle on the Other Side brings different comprehension to those souls willing to invite challenges for education.
Souls on the Other Side use their feelings just as they do on earth to make new friends, even though we all come from the same spirit.
One spirit occupies the Other Side, but that spirit has individual souls who make up the whole. As with any family, they may not all get along together all the time. Because they know what they do however, there is no real hatred there, only personalities who enjoy spending time together. Friends do not always offer differing points of view, and that's why continued interaction is needed among souls.
These spirits generally come back to earth together. Some may remain on the Other Side to be guardian angels to those who have come back. There is no waste for a soul, only recycling. Choosing differing personalities with conflicting viewpoints while in eternity is essential. Otherwise it might take one forever to learn all they need to know.
Some things only last a lifetime, but the spirit is permanent and replaces bodies with reincarnation just as one would old clothing. There is no sin involved, only learning. Karma is not limited to physical life. It extends to the soul's life, which is everlasting. Through Karma, a soul can experience all life has to offer.
