We sometimes commit to the same behavior as we have in a past life. After all, we have eternity to learn those same lessons.
Souls on the Other Side create, with the best of intentions, lives in which they know they can make up for what they consider past challenges. All those souls know that we are all in this thing called life together. What affects one affects all. Along with other souls, they all work to benefit each other and confront their destiny of becoming more Godlike together.
After coming to physical form though, that soul knows that each of us has the freedom of choice, without the benefit of being able to see past lives as they did on the Other Side. Most usually cannot remember what they did in their past lives. Thus they may repeat, in the same manner, situations they were in before. Choices on the physical side are not easy because one doesn't have the benefit that one has on the Other Side to see the soul's life in its entirety.
Living does not come with a handbook. Going through life's ups and downs can be quite confusing, especially if you believe that any choice you make reflects directly on others. Most people do not want to hurt another person, even when that person has intentionally inflicted hurt upon them. It is not God's way.
We are what we make ourselves. The soul knows that it is up to us to decide how our life comes out. With each Karmic life, our existence may be different but the course of events, which were mapped out on the Other Side, isn't.
When you leave the physical side of life again, your soul might feel upon reflection, that it hasn't progressed at all. Thus it sets in motion a new set of situations in the physical arena in which it can hopefully learn the same lesson. The soul always allows itself another chance for education.
On the Other Side, your soul devises your karma so that you can enact it on the physical side. Thus what we consider life begins again.
Readings of past lives
Past life influences the way we perceive others as well as ourselves. Learning from our past lives and others' can lead to a better understanding of why we were born to the physical.
