them may relate to past lives. Fears of certain objects or ceremonies may cling to your life like a leech.
All these things cannot be explained by present-day life but are so simple if you only look to past lives.
One such past life, which affected the person living now in a most unusual manner, was something she would have never believed. With excitement in her voice, she told me that she was going to a wedding that was in a religion different from hers. The woman, a Baptist, was elated that she would get to see a Catholic church in all its ornate finery. What she did not count on, upon going into the church, however, was the fear she had for her life. She told me that she continuously looked over her shoulder to make sure no one was creeping up behind her to kill her, and she finally had to leave the church.
This lady didn't have a fear of church. Rationalizing didn't help her, she said. The panic was with her as long as she sat in that church. She couldn't focus on the wonderful wedding she was longing to attend; instead all she could think of was getting out of the church as quickly as humanly possible.
Telling me how beautiful the church was when she entered it; she described how she felt while sitting in this lovely church. Unaware that she was speaking of a past life, she was worried that there were people who would hurt her. In her mind's eye, she could see those people coming up from behind to kill her. As she described the situation to me, I saw that she was reliving her soul's history of the Inquisition even though she didn't believe in past lives.
It could have been something in the Church that made her remember that past life, or maybe it was just walking inside but something brought that life to the fore for her. An experience she was looking forward to suddenly became a miserable ordeal that made her feel as though she had to fight for her life.
Past lives will impact today's life in some manner. They may make you want to be a better person, or can even make you worse. Because you have free will, there are times when your present life is not much better than your past one. You have the freedom of choice to do whatever you want to do in each life.
