what she said came true. In my way of thinking, she did not regard her ability as a good thing, and I don’t know if she even knew what she was. Certainly, she did not call what she did a reading. For her, this was a burden she carried rather than a wonderful gift.
I realize now that she could have been a guide to me then, had I questioned her, but undoubtedly I was not ready to open those psychic doors at that time.
My guide, John, was my friend and still is although I no longer see him. He is just off to other pastures now helping someone else become enlightened. I can’t express the love and admiration I have for this man. He was and still is one of the most admired teachers I have ever had.
It is possible that some will have the same guide all their lives. If I had not come out of the psychic closet, then John might still be with me, trying to enlighten me with his wisdom.
People are quick to tell me they have a guide. These people are proud because they know their guide’s name. People naturally have a tendency to want to know with whom they are speaking. If that is what they want and their guide is willing to give them a name, I am happy for them.
When working with guides now, as with John, I rarely ask their names unless it is for the person I am working with. There is usually no need to know the name unless that person or the spirit wants me to know, but I don’t take for granted that they are God any longer. That is a lesson I had to learn even though as spiritual entities we are all part of God.
Guides come to us in a manner we can understand so they won’t frighten us. This is for our comfort.
If you ask their names, they, like John, will tell you who they are. They don’t necessarily volunteer the information. This doesn’t mean they are bad, it just means they are trying to make you feel more at ease.
After all didn’t God tell us he would send an emissary to help us? John was part of that Holy Spirit, just as we all are.
People on the Other Side are more matter-of-fact than we are on this side. Not to say that they don’t have a sense of humor. They do. Knowing the outcome, they see more details
