the job of allowing information to travel through me. Helping others, as well as myself, was and is my goal.
Graduating from that form of enlightenment, I went on to less painful methods for retrieving data from the "other side." Sometimes I still feel as though I'm sitting in a freezer when I'm channeling. The violent shaking is not as bad because I realize it doesn't have to be, but it still has a manner of manifesting that catches me off-guard.
Sometimes when an entity speaks to me, I experience itching. Chill bumps in localized areas are not uncommon and give comfort and confirmation - confirmation that you are undergoing channeling at its finest.
All the senses are heightened when one is channeling. Taste, smell, hearing, sight, and touch are on the metaphysical level. This enhanced feeling is wonderful in itself, but when you get extraordinary information also, then it is a real bonus.
Remember, too, that you are always in control of your body, mind, and spirit. This will enable you to enjoy the channeling experience much more. It's up to the channel, or medium, to manage his or her abilities.
Trance mediumship initiates sensations that involve more control. If you are a person who cannot stand giving up control, then this kind of channeling is not for you. Allowing others to inhabit your body for even a few minutes can be a challenge. To start, you must decide how far you are willing to go with the trance state. Will you allow full or partial use of your body while in this state? You also have to decide how you want your own consciousness to react. Should you have your spirit conscious of the events taking place, or would you rather be unaware of the experience? Once these questions are answered, then all you have to do is ask that trance mediumship begin.
Get comfortable and allow the entity access to speak through you, using the voice it prefers. It looks theatrical but can give the listener valuable information. It's an amazing experience when someone who has asked for a reading hears from a dead loved one in that loved one's own voice.
