meditating but can be seen at any time. For instance, repeatedly seeing the same symbol can be a message. Within a few hours or days a friend or family member might bring it to your attention as well. At this point, a good medium will probably ask what message this symbol is trying to impart.
Some symbols relate to specific events going on in your life. A stairway going up means those affairs are taking a turn for the better. Just about any symbol that reaches upward can have that meaning. A circle is infinity, just as the parallel eight figure is. Any sign that appears to be leading downward indicates a period of challenge in life. Spirals can mean that you are working very hard to get where you are going. How you feel your life is moving depends upon the direction of those spirals and whether they have an upward or downward motion.
A box, for instance, can mean that one feels they are being boxed in or caged by their actions and circumstances. A star can be man or can have other grim meanings such as the ones placed there by Satanists in the form of a pentagram. Knowing the difference between the two is important.
Animals can become symbols as well. Take the snake for instance. It was used in the Bible to describe the ultimate evil and everlasting life as infinity when it had its tail in its mouth. In the medical profession, the Caduceus is an insignia showing two snakes intertwining around a staff to signify something good and welcoming if you happen to be ill.
Symbols can take any form, from nursery rhymes to rocks, in order to give people images they recognize so that they may derive the underlying meaning the spirit wants to impart.
Another tool for channeling is touch or psychometry, such as was described in the Meditation chapter. When you touch an object, you are giving permission for your channel to be activated. Information can flow into the consciousness of the reader.
Dreams are one of the simplest forms of channeling. Either when asleep or awake, you can make use of these very insightful events.
When asleep, you might dream of the past, present, or future. Precognitive dreaming is more easily interpreted because
