Developing Psychic Ability

Remember that you will receive details about the life of the person you are reading not only through speech but also through sight, other sounds, odors, tastes, thoughts and feelings. There might even be a motion-picture effect. These are all techniques in which a medium receives pertinent statistics about the life of the person being read.

Learn to believe and speak all information you receive, because it might be pertinent. If you see a goat push a boy into a pond, as I did once, say it. Otherwise the man being read might not believe that you really saw the goat push him into the pond when he was a boy. Although you might give him information about the event right down to every animal there, if you don't say you saw the goat push him in, then he has a problem believing you are really psychic.

There is the possibility that you might hear another language and have to repeat it to the person being read. Taking it on faith that this is part of the reading is the medium's choice, but if you don't say the word then you will never know if it was pertinent.

Once while giving a reading, I told a man that I saw his uncle come into the room. Then I proceeded to describe the uncle to the man for whom I was reading. Each time I mentioned his uncle, he would use the term "relative" instead. Finally the uncle spoke in what I now know is a Yiddish word. With my southern accent, I was having trouble speaking the word that I kept hearing, but I was able to say it well enough that the person for whom I was reading was astonished. Upon hearing the word, he said, "That is my uncle," which I had been trying to explain to him since the uncle had come into the room. With that I asked him what the word was and he replied that it meant "relative." My use of that word had made the man for whom I was reading a believer.

Dive into mediumship with your mind, body, and soul once you decide to become a channel. Trying to censor the information can be a disaster. When you decided to become a medium, you opened yourself to criticism from others. Once the decision has been made, don't worry about the possibility of being humiliated. Allow the information to flow through you.
