channeled and are quite ready to tell you what they need in order to survive.
Have your group of beginning mediums circle one of your favorite plants. This channeling session will begin with finding the aura of the plant as you learned in the Aura chapter. Seeing auras is a form of channeling because you are looking at the spirit. Stare at the plant without blinking if you can. See the outline of the plant and watch the white light coming from the plant branching out into other colors. If there is a need, look at the plant with closed eyes with the "third eye" so that pertinent information about that plant will come into focus more readily.
Ask the plant questions just as you did when channeling the crystal. When asking direct questions, you are more apt to get quick, intelligent answers. Write your answers on paper. Discuss your findings with the other mediums as you did after the crystal channeling session.
Each person in your group needs to have brought a picture of someone he or she knows but others in your group do not. This can be a person long dead or someone who is alive. According to the size of your group, each person in the group can hold each picture and use psychometry as explained in the meditation chapter to receive channeled information about the person in the photo.
Questions to ask yourself about the person in the photo are as easy as the questions you asked the rock and plant. Obviously the one difference is that you will know whether the person in the photo is male or female. Asking for clarification on characteristics of this person help you to be better able to read the person in the photo. Of course, you may also ask if the person is physically alive or dead. Request information from the person in the photo as if the two of you are speaking in person. Glean any facts that might help the person who brought the photo to know clearly that you have honed in upon the vibrations of the person in the photo. As you hear that you are getting correct data from the person in the photo, you become more confident. When you become more confident in the method in which you receive your facts, the better you become at mediumship.
