murder. This is not my favorite viewpoint for obvious reasons, but neither is being a victim. From the victim's standpoint, I feel and see. In either case, I am part of the situation.
Murder investigations are not for all mediums, but some are very good at identifying both the murderer and the victim. Giving pertinent information and being able to identify the killer is compensation for the work they do.
Mediumship does not have to be hard on the body of the medium. It can be as easy as one wants or as hard. Learning to read the feelings is the most important tool for a good channel.
Getting Ready to Channel
Giving the invitation to your ghostly friends initiates communication. The medium has to learn how to recognize the gateways for learning to channel. Previously we have looked at how to recognize spirit, past lives and auras along with other psychic phenomena.
Another good idea for the novice medium is to surround himself with like-minded individuals who either want to learn psychic work for themselves or are excited about being part of the medium's education.
Remember too, that the spirits who come to you will not hurt you. They are there for a purpose, too. Either they want to be heard by you and a loved one, or they are there to assist in your education. In my classes, it is not unusual for several spirits to come and observe or assist.
Spirits on the "other side" keep the same personality they had when on Earth. They might change some, but not much. On the "other side" though, they can see the reason behind all events of life, according to their spiritual education.
The exceptions are those people who are on the lower levels of learning. A murderer, for instance, keeps the same personality but fails to see the larger picture. Still involved with the desire to control everything that comes into contact with him or her, the murderer creates a very miniscule place in which to reside.
