While meditating one day, I saw Muffin's heaven. Spellbound, I watched.

It was a wall of energy. That wall was God. In this wall, which I liken to a piece of plastic with a regenerative feature, I saw many people. Standing behind this wall, they all appeared to press their bodies against the plastic. Jamming themselves into the plastic so that I could see each of them, I realized they were all one yet still separate individuals.

Then one of the individuals stepped through. It was Muffin. As soon as she came through, the plastic closed behind her as if she had never been in the wall, but I knew she could reenter at any time and become one with it again.

Muffin and God wanted me to understand that we all come from one source. There are individuals, but they are encompassed in the whole. When we begin to realize we are not alone, that we all touch each other be it animal, plant or rock, then we learn more of God's understanding ways.

Human beings think that they have dominion over all without any regard for themselves or others. With this dominion comes a responsibility. In hurting another, you hurt yourself. It may take a lifetime, or several, but there is a day of reckoning.

My puppy not only taught me to enjoy the Earth, while alive, but she also made me remember what God was truly like.

She came back to see me several times afterward. Cooking dinner for my husband one night, without any thought of her in my mind, I heard her voice trailing from the kitchen to the back door saying, "Daddy's home."

She had always run to the door when she was alive to let me know he was home before the garage door raised.

Knowing it was not time for him to be home yet and without thinking, I responded, "No, he's not."

She was right. Within seconds, the garage door opened. Daddy was home.

Another time, I walked through the hall to the front door. There she was lying in the dining room under the table. That was the spot she always lay when she wanted everyone to leave her alone. It was her time-out spot, and when she was there you really needed to leave her alone.
