Chapter Eight
Animal Ghosts
For those of you who believe animals are on the other side, and even for those of you who don't, well, it is true. Also, there are trees and all sorts of plants. Anything you see on the physical side is on the other side.
The way I found out there were ghost animals was quite innocent.
My father used to take me to places he knew were haunted. Being a fisherman, it was even better for him when these remote places had fishing.
As ghostly events would occur, he would ask me what had happened. This was an accepted part of my life. He wanted me to tell him what I had seen. Later, I was to find out that he was testing my ability.
Anyway, on one camping expedition he took me to a camping area that was supposed to be haunted by a man and a horse. He told me nothing about the ghosts.
This camp was a small Louisiana State Park by the Ouachita River. People rarely went to that park because it was relatively unknown. It had only a few picnic tables and was located deep in the woods close to a bluff above the river.
We built a campfire and did all the things that campers do. My little Spotty dog was very restless and would not
