They seem to want people to believe there is an energy being higher than all of us. Their message is correct; God is everything, but we are all part of God. As a part of the Supreme Being, we are able to access that higher energy, though we may not be aware we can. Angels tend to give us something to aspire too.
Some appear wearing clothes just as we might dress today. Having all the physical attributes of your next-door neighbor, they come into your life for a few precious moments and leave a useful message behind.
In a town in Arizona, I met an angel who appeared as a physical man. This Native American came to my motor home and asked for money. My usual answer would have been to give him a little bit of money or say I'm sorry, but this time something stopped me.
Through the dirt on his body, I saw an Angel's eyes. It helped to hear a voice reinforce my thoughts by saying, "This is an angel you are turning away."
Stopping myself from the usual cliché answers, I asked, "Would you take a sandwich instead?"
"Yes, ma'am, I would."
Going inside the motor home, I told my husband I needed to make this man sandwiches. After doing so, I brought them out to him. He said thanks and left.
My husband and I drove over to an automotive supply store across the street. While my husband was in the store, I saw the man again. He sat down on a stone wall next to another man who looked worse off than he did and offered him a sandwich too.
As I sat there watching, I knew without a doubt I met an Angel that day. He had a human face and the ragged clothes of a beggar, but he had the heart of an Angel.
Ethereal beings don't always have a form. They can make their presence known in other ways.
